Hemorrhoids Treatment with RF (Radiofrequency)

Rafaelo It is a system that aims to extinguish the haemorrhoid cushion with a special device under local anaesthesia. It consists of a disposable set using materials specially opened for the patient. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and is a painless, bloodless procedure. Each hemorrhoid pillow after local anaesthesiaBy entering into the debris, the burning process is performed with radiofrequency. The procedure takes about 10 minutes. When it is over, the patient can continue his/her daily life. The first defecation is painless unlike other procedures. In the first 3 days after the procedure, the hemorrhoid cushion begins to deflate with the effect of radiofrequency. At the end of the 1st week, the haemorrhoids shrink and the burned part is discarded as a scab. At the end of the 15th day, the haemorrhoids are covered with normal tissue.

It is a newer technology with a higher success rate than laser. Due to the higher satisfaction of our patients, the Rafaelo system is the most frequently applied non-surgical treatment method in our clinic.

Hemorrhoids (Haemorrhoids) Treatment with Laser

It is a treatment application that enters the hemorrhoid pads with a 2-3 mm thick laser tip and burns the vein and as a result shrinks the hemorrhoid pad. It is applied to internal haemorrhoids. It is a procedure performed under clinical conditions with local anaesthesia. No preparation is required before the procedure. In other words, if the patient is suitable for the procedure after evaluation and examination, treatment can be applied on the same day. The procedure takes about 5-10 minutes. The patient can return to work and school on the same day. There is swelling and oedema in the haemorrhoids in the first week after treatment, but the haemorrhoids shrink completely in the next 2-4 weeks.

Hemorrhoids (Haemorrhoids) Band Ligation (Strangulation with Tyre)

It is one of the oldest non-surgical treatment methods. It is a treatment method in which it is aimed to cut the blood flow and shrink the haemorrhoid cushion by placing a band with a special device on the internal haemorrhoids. It is not applied in external haemorrhoids.

It is performed under clinical conditions with local anaesthesia. No preparation is required for the procedure. It is applied by placing the tape on the hemorrhoid base with a special device loaded with tape on a special procedure table. It takes 5 minutes or less. There is no significant pain during the procedure. The haemorrhoids suffocated by the rubber band shrink day by day. Within 10-15 days, the haemorrhoid pad regresses to normal dimensions. Post-procedure pain may be more than laser and radiofrequency procedures.

Haemorrhoids Artery Ligation (HAL)

It is one of the non-surgical hemorrhoid treatment methods. It is a treatment method that allows the hemorrhoid vein to be detected and ligated with a special ultrasound device for this region, in addition to this, it is a treatment method that allows the hanging hemorrhoid cushion to be hung where it should be with a special suture technique.

It is a procedure performed under operating room conditions with spinal anaesthesia (i.e. numbing with a needle in the waist). There is no cutting or tissue loss. The processing time is longer than other methods. Hospitalisation is not required. The patient can be discharged on the same day. Although there is no significant pain after the procedure, the feeling of fullness in the anus lasts for 2-4 weeks. Since all vessels are ligated, the possibility of recurrence of the disease is extremely low.

Hello to my teacher, I am 28 years old, I have been constipated for a long time, the doctors I went to said that I have hemorrhoids, but I do not have a pain and bleeding that affects my daily life at the moment. I have pain after the toilet and it usually passes after about two hours. Still, they said you should have surgery before getting pregnant, what do you think about this?

First of all, get well soon. Since the pregnancy period is a period when the activity of haemorrhoid disease may increase, I am in the opinion that you should be treated before you become pregnant.

Hocam greetings, I am asking for my mother, she is 76 years old and has been suffering from constipation for nearly 30 years. Colonoscopy was recently performed and haemorrhoids were diagnosed. It was said that hemorrhoids trigger constipation constipation hemorrhoids. Our doctor simply prescribed medication and food supplements. Although these have no effect, the effect fades after a short time. Is there anything you can do? Thank you in advance.

First of all, get well soon. The treatment process of constipation and haemorrhoids in advanced ages is a long, arduous and meticulous process. It would be wrong to make a recommendation by heart without the patient's follow-up. If you have the opportunity to follow up in our clinic, please contact us for an appointment.

Hello Mrs Sevil; Radiofrequency treatment can be applied in patients with stage 2 and prolapse that is not prominent (that is, it is not stuck outside and does not need manual intervention). The repetition rate is quite low. It can be applied again in cases where there is not enough shrinkage after the first session. Get well soon.

Hello ; First of all, get well soon. Of course, it would not be appropriate to make medical advice without examination; however, until the nearest time you can be examined by general surgery, washing the area in the form of a hot water bath, eating plenty of fibre to avoid constipation, applying local anaesthetic pomades to the painful area will alleviate your complaints. Please do not neglect to be examined as soon as possible. I wish you a healthy day.

Hello, Gülden Hanım, during my pregnancy period, I had haemorrhoids, 1 and a half years ago, when I was constipated, there was also bleeding, what kind of treatment is there, can I get information?

    Answer

      Op. Dr. Gülden Ballı

      January 10, 2022

Hello Mrs Ayfer, first of all, get well soon. Haemorrhoid disease that occurs during pregnancy usually regresses after birth if there are no other risk factors. However, ongoing constipation, eating and drinking mistakes and sedentary life can cause the disease to flare up again, as well as prevent its regression. Bleeding is a finding that should always be taken into consideration for us. Therefore, you should definitely be examined. Drug treatment is sufficient in half of the patients. Some patients require surgery, which constitutes a small proportion. In the remaining patients, non-surgical treatment methods (laser, radiofrequency, band ligation, etc.) can be applied. healthy days
